Journalists in Ecuador use website and mobile phones for news coverage

Ciudadania Informada is a news website in Ecuador that is produced by regional news agencies in the provinces of Azuay, Guayas, Imbabura and Orellana. By using local journalists, the project ensures that it covers news from a different side than the news programmes in the cities. With mobile phones, the Ciudadania Informada journalists ensure that news is always placed on the website fast. This project is supported by the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD).
